MARCH 3, 2011- UPDATE The UFCW Local 536 bargaining team met with the Kroger Company on March 3, 2011. The Kroger Company indicated that it looks like they will take care of the Pension and the additional cost associated with the Pension. The Kroger Company also indicated that they are willing to take care of the Midwest Health and Welfare. Both parties are currently discussing wage proposals as well. However, the Kroger Company continues to propose take aways from the new hires and from the fuel center which are major issues.
